About the Department
Dar al-Hadith wal-Isnād al-Hindiyyah is the specialised department of the Ashrafiya Islamic Foundation devoted to the study and preservation of Hadith and its chains of transmission (isnād). It focuses on critical research into classical collections, the revival of rare and often shortest chains of transmission—particularly those rooted in the Deccan—and the documentation of living connections to the blessed salaf. Among its flagship projects are the publication of classical Arbaʿīn (forty-Hadith) collections and the careful revival of long-neglected sanads, undertaken in close collaboration with leading traditional scholars and contemporary researchers.
